CheeseHead

This is the CheeseHead hat that Ezra got for Christmas from Aunt Lenore! In Wisconsin people wear cheesehead hats to show their pride about Wisconsin and also because they are called cheeseheads because of all the cheese that is made there. Ezra also got a note from Aunt Lenore:

"Ryan, I know that you have your heart set on Yale, or Columbia, or one of those other schools that your father calls 'pretentious.' But look on the bright side... UW-Madison is a fine school, and doesn't it bring you some joy to know that you can truly call yourself a native Cheesehead? Wear this hat with pride... You can always go to grad school.

BOY OH BOY! WHAT AN EXCITING WISCONSIN CHRISTMAS! I'm really jealous about Flat Stanley having all the adventures!

Auto Shop

This is Uncle Jack's Auto Repair. Ezra works here to make some money for highschool. His dad Uncle Jack always says that "it's a family business! And it will always be a family business! I didn't spend my life working from the bottom to build this auto repair facility and not have it be a dynasty!" Ezra sounds super excited to work there! He says that after he goes to UW-Madison he's "coming right home... have to come home... have to take care of the cars that my dad is too drunk to take care of... have to..."

Flat Stanley is seeing some real strange places! But my family is great!

Acceptance to Yale!

This is Ezra's acceptance letter to Yale! He says he wants to study Biology at this Ivy League school! He also said he got accepted to: "Carleton, Kalamazoo, Dartmo... you know what, it doesn't really matter does it? Because I can't go to any of these schools... Unless I want to be broke I have to go to UW-Madison. Tell you something Squirt, start saving now for college. Take care of yourself... cause you can't trust anyone else in this world... anyone..."

Boy oh boy! It sure sounds exciting to be Ezra!

Wisconsin Sweater!

This is the Sweater Ezra got from his dad! It's a University of Wisconsin sweater! Uncle Jack went to University of Wisconsin and he used to always say, "My son is going to UW-Madison! It's a legacy!" I bet Ezra is super excited that his dad cares about him going to UW-Madison so much!
